Camilla Rees

Camilla has studied widely in medical, scientific, health enhancement and self-empowerment fields, and for 15 years has advised proactive patients on health strategy. She has served as an Integrative Care Counselor, Cancer Guide, Facilitator of Hellinger Family and Organizational Constellations, educator in Mental Imagery, and as a personal and as business coach to entrepreneurs and change agents.

From personal experience, not once, but many times, she has learned the risks from being too close to cell phones, wireless devices and transmitters, as well as the risks of chronic exposure to this radiation. She has studied the science on these risks in depth. She has met people from all walks of life who have become debilitated by this radiation, developed very serious illnesses, including neurological challenges, cancers and brain tumors, and even died or committed suicide. She seeks now to educate those who want to learn about these risks and about the steps one can take to minimize wireless radiation exposures in homes, offices and schools.

She is especially concerned about the risks to developing children from wireless technologies, including addiction effects; cognitive effects, that interfere with learning at key developmental stages; the numerous health and mental health effects; and the DNA effects that impact our functioning today as well as that of future generations.

In 2008, Camilla founded ElectromagneticHealth.org and later started Campaign for Radiation Free Schools (Facebook). She co-authored a book on biological effects of electromagnetic fields, Public Health SOS: The Shadow Side of the Wireless Revolution. She also co-authored the landmark report, ”Cellphones and Brain Tumors: 15 Reasons for Concern”, which received significant global news coverage; was co-investigator on a published research study showing impacts of microwave radiation on the heart, and co-founded the International EMF Alliance, a consortium 100+ international activist groups. Camilla has been a major content creator in this field of activism; works with communities fighting cell towers, antennas and WiFi in schools; and speaks nationally and internationally. In 2015, she produced a DVD from international EMF scientists to the United Nations, featuring Martin Blank, PhD of Columbia University, now circulating in over 150 countries, warning about EMF risks (www.EMFScientist.org).

Camilla also serves as Senior Policy Adviser to the National Institute for Science, Law and Public Policy (NISLAPP) in Washington, D.C., where she has directed and edited the white papers, ”Getting Smarter About the Smart Grid”,  “Green Electricity or Green Money? Why some environmental groups hamper clean energy” and “The Hudson Valley “Energy Highway” transmission project: An idea whose time has passed”. She was an Executive Producer of the award winning film on the smart grid, ”Take Back Your Power”. She is EMF Advisor to Mercola.com, the U.K. Radiation Research Trust, and is an Affiliate of Social Venture Network. She is Board Member of Media in the Public Interest in Boulder, CO, Advisor to Sustainability Associates (MN), and on the Advisory Board of the Institute for Building-Biology® and Ecology, a green building and green living educational organization training architects, engineers, builders, physicians and other health practitioners.

Camilla has organized many panels on health, health care reform and environmental topics. She has addressed the Commonwealth Club of California, Columbia University Law School, Bioneers (NM & CO), the Young President’s Organization, A.R.E. (American Renewable Energy) Day (Aspen), the World Congress of Integrative Medicines, The Left Forum (NYC), the Institute for Building Biology™ & Ecology, Holistic Moms Network, the White House Commission on Complementary & Alternative Medicine Policy, numerous medical conferences, and held a briefing for members of Congress and their staffs. For many years she was also a curriculum developer for a private invitational forum of leading international CEOs focused on productivity, performance and sustainability. Camilla is a Voting Member of the U.S. Health Freedom Congress, comprised of state and national health freedom leaders and advocates.
